Logan : Elephants are not modest. They do not wear clothes.
Lilly: If I were in the garden of Eden I would not eat the fruit. Even if Adam tried to force it in my mouth I would say "No!".
Logan: Josie looks like a scary monster with her snot coming out of her nose. She looks like she has tusks.
Becca: Hey Logan...dad has a lot of work to do today. Can you pray that God will help him get it done? Logan: Dear God, help dad to not have to work anymore at all. Have him come home and play with us forever.

March 27
Logan wanted to go to Lowes for dinner. "Dad, can we go to Lowes for dinner? Not the place with the blue sign. I want to go to the other Lowes. The one that says "WELCOME TO LOWES!" when you walk in" (She meant Moes)
I have decided that Kirk is too old to be playing "ball" with the young bucks at the rec center. Every time he plays basketball I end up rubbing out his cramps in his legs at 2am. Last night he was cramping so bad he was sweating. His legs are bruised today from my not-so-tender massage. I am glad he can still get out there and compete with 18 year olds but......I don't think they are cramping in their sleep!
Baby Josie is going to be 1 in May. That seems crazy. Time with her has gone by fast. She is starting to do a few more "tricks". I think she attempts to say "hi" and I have definitely heard an "uh oh". She is starting to wave and can give a high five. She has a great reach and roll when she wants to get to something. She doesn't get up on her knees to crawl yet but I think we are only a few weeks away. I was remembering back to when Logan was her age. Logan was walking by the time she was 11 months and Josie has yet to crawl. I guess when you are the third you are used to your older siblings getting everything for you. She is sweet and happy and a real joy to us.

March 11
Lilly had "Bug Day" at Preschool today. They studied bugs this week and everyone dressed like a bug. It was really cute to see Lilly wear her Halloween Costume from when she was 1. Throw some tights under it and nothing is too short (come to think of it....teenage girls have the same theory).
Logan has been enjoying school at home. She wanted to learn all about the planets, stars and moon. After about 4 days (Tues, Thurs, Tues, Thurs) she told me she learned everything and wants to learn about volcanoes. The only thing she doesn't like about it is that she is missing out on parties. Lilly seems to have some sort of dress up party or function a lot at preschool lately. I told Logan we would do a green party for St. Patrick's Day. After all, that is my maiden name!
We are starting to make some decisions for Logan's schooling in the fall. Everything has been discussed. Here are the front runners : Home school, New Hope Academy (AMAZING but long waiting list), Mustard Seed (Preschool 3 day program and I would supplement the other 2 days at home, Foundations Christian Academy (Home school tutorial that meets two days a week and I would supplement the other three).

Memphis and back

I took Logan with me to Memphis for the weekend for a home school seminar. We saw lots of long skirts and long hair. I heard from some good speakers and left there being challenged and confused by too much information. We walked around downtown and went to the Peabody Hotel. We just missed the ducks. Logan loved the duck fountain and thought it the perfect photo spot (as you can see). I think Logan and Julie Andrews would get along splendidly.
Lilly told me a few days ago that God made boogers so she can pick and eat them. Nice.
Josie was 10 months old yesterday. It cracks us up that she still can't get herself in a sitting position, has only two teeth and can't really perform any "tricks" (except sit and smile). She is a sweet baby that seems more like 6 months than 10. Logan says she is the sweetest baby ever and she always smiles at her. Logan wanted to change her diaper today but got grossed out and gave up. Logan is convinced that Josie likes her best and actually told us it isn't fair that she plays favorites. Halarious.
Is it cruel that I forced Lilly to ride her bike 3 times around our cul-de-sac today? She was crying the whole time until she was almost done with the obligation. She kept complaining that she was cold and scared of falling and going too fast. "I just want to ride my tricycle". I asked her if she really thought I would let her fall and she replied...."yes". Well, I am glad I redeemed some trust in her eyes. She didn't fall. She didn't freeze. She stopped crying and was actually proud of herself when she was done. Mind you, she has training wheels and knows how to use her brakes. Maybe next time we will have a better start.
