I took Logan with me to Memphis for the weekend for a home school seminar. We saw lots of long skirts and long hair. I heard from some good speakers and left there being challenged and confused by too much information. We walked around downtown and went to the Peabody Hotel. We just missed the ducks. Logan loved the duck fountain and thought it the perfect photo spot (as you can see). I think Logan and Julie Andrews would get along splendidly.
Lilly told me a few days ago that God made boogers so she can pick and eat them. Nice.
Josie was 10 months old yesterday. It cracks us up that she still can't get herself in a sitting position, has only two teeth and can't really perform any "tricks" (except sit and smile). She is a sweet baby that seems more like 6 months than 10. Logan says she is the sweetest baby ever and she always smiles at her. Logan wanted to change her diaper today but got grossed out and gave up. Logan is convinced that Josie likes her best and actually told us it isn't fair that she plays favorites. Halarious.
Is it cruel that I forced Lilly to ride her bike 3 times around our cul-de-sac today? She was crying the whole time until she was almost done with the obligation. She kept complaining that she was cold and scared of falling and going too fast. "I just want to ride my tricycle". I asked her if she really thought I would let her fall and she replied...."yes". Well, I am glad I redeemed some trust in her eyes. She didn't fall. She didn't freeze. She stopped crying and was actually proud of herself when she was done. Mind you, she has training wheels and knows how to use her brakes. Maybe next time we will have a better start.
