Lake Tahoe

Kirk and I are in Lake Tahoe for our 10 year anniversary. We got here on a Monday and will get home on Friday. It is so relaxing and beautiful!
The night before we arrived they had a huge snowfall....in June! We took some good pictures of the snow. We couldn't believe it. We flew into Reno and drove up through some very snowy mountains to get over to the lake. We were wearing shorts, tshirts and sandals :). We have had 95 degrees in Nashville for a few weeks now.
Our hotel room overlooked the roof originally. Kirk asked if we could switch rooms and they put us up in the Hyatt Regency Suite which we have access to the "break room" which overlooks the snow capped mountains and lake on the 11th floor. They always have amazing snacks and a great breakfast. I am so glad he asked! Thankfully the weather warmed up :)

Kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, shopping, eating out, hanging at the pool and sleeping in....
pretty much perfect! We also saw 2 bears......!

Now it is time to focus on leaving for Africa in less than 2 weeks. I need to pack!
